Edmonton’s all-you-can-eat scene keeps expanding, and BB2 Korean BBQ & Buffet has entered with what might be the city’s largest AYCE KBBQ setup. Their new location inside West Edmonton Mall introduces a buffet-style Korean BBQ experience – something we don’t see often in Edmonton.

This marks BB2’s second Edmonton location, with their original in Century Park. Pricing is $55 per adult, 50% off for kids aged 4–9, and free for children under 3. Note that there is a 2 hour seating limit, and drinks are not included in the AYCE price. I recommend checking their website for full details before visiting. Here are my honest thoughts after my initial visit!
Buffet-Style KBBQ: Fast, Flexible, and Fully Self-Serve
Unlike traditional KBBQ service, BB2 runs entirely buffet-style. Meats, seafood, hot dishes, and sides are prepped and ready to grab meaning no waiting on orders. It’s a convenient format if you want control over pacing and portions.
I usually love a full service KBBQ, but I did enjoy the flexibility here. Just make sure you keep an eye on that 2-hour limit because time will fly by.
While buffet-style restaurants can raise questions around freshness, my opening-day visit was good. Trays were consistently refilled, and everything looked fresh. If they maintain this standard, it’s a big win for AYCE in Edmonton.

Food Selection: Huge Variety
You can expect a massive spread at BB2: marinated meats, seafood, sushi, hot dishes, cold sides, soup and more. I honestly felt overwhelmed at first but I guess that’s part of the appeal and excitement upon arrival – what do we feast on first?

Some standouts from my visit:
- Galbi
- Thinly sliced beef
- Pork belly
- Salmon nigiri (surprisingly good)
- Kimchi
- Fresh fruit (a great reset between rounds)

There’s also a self-serve ramyun station, plus ice cream and popsicles for dessert, which are included in the AYCE pricing.
A quick tip: they charge for food waste, so pace yourself. Start small, then go back for more. If dinner feels like too much, they’ll be introducing a lower-priced lunch menu with a slightly smaller selection. Keep an eye on their socials for updates!
Space & Experience

The new space is bright, clean, and spacious, with plenty of seating, including larger tables for groups. That said, I personally think KBBQ is easiest to manage with around 4 people; BB2 actually requires a minimum of 2 people to dine in. You’ll also find fun additions of Marvel characters around the restaurant too.
A small but thoughtful touch that you don’t want to miss is their touchless deodorizer station near the exit, so you don’t leave smelling like the grill.

You’ll find BB2 on the second level of West Edmonton Mall, near Starlight Casino. For easiest access, park by T&T Supermarket or the casino entrance.

Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a high-variety, no-wait AYCE Korean BBQ experience in Edmonton, BB2 is worth checking out. At $55 per person, the quality and selection make it a strong contender, especially if you come hungry. This is definitely a welcome addition to the city’s AYCE scene and in my opinion, one of the better ones!
